Who are we?

Who are we?

Who are we?

The UK Commando Force (UKCF) is a British 16+, UK-based Arma 3 milsim community built around the famous Royal Marines Commando structure. We're a coalition of specialist units, covering everything from infantry, amphibious raiding, artillery, drones and even signals. Each modeled on their real-world British Armed Forces counterparts and operating as part of a combined armed battlegroup.

We form our milsim side around a semi-serious attitude. Every recruit will go through a Phase One training that will introduce you to our tactics, and if you're new to Arma, the game as a whole. Our Saturday Operations are planned, briefed and executed with a genuine tactics structure. That said we also have an emphasis on not going overboard, we don't expect you to call us by ranks we haven't earned in real life, and we value our community focusing on being a group where people can stick around for years not weeks.

If you're looking for a British Arma 3 unit running proper operations weekly, but doesn't go so overboard the fun is lost. Perhaps we're the place for you!

What to expect

What to Expect at our structured UKCF Operations, every Saturday

We run weekly operations at 1900/7pm UK time (GMT/BST). We start with proper briefings where you will learn what we want to achieve, based on the current campaigns story line. From there we step off as group, and get straight into it. There won't be a moment of quiet.

A full combined arms experience

Depending on which sub unit you join, you could be breaching a compound with 40 Commando, commanding a landing craft with 47 Commando, laying down smoke or supporting fire from afar with 29 Commando, or running drone recon and calling in that very fire mission with 30 Commando. Every single role matters.

Training that actually prepares you

All recruits go through a Phase One training before stepping into ops. You will be prepared, know what keybinds to press and have a feel for real life tactics. That will be your foundation, and the rest of your section will be there all the way to support you.

Progression that matters

Do you want to lead a strike team? Treat a casualty with our advanced medical mod? Operate a GPMG or NLAW. We have various specialist training paths to teach you all of the above. Completing these unlocks these weapons or roles on our Saturday OPs. Your commitment will be rewarded.

Can't commit just yet, too busy for other units?

We understand sometimes real life and jobs can get in the way, or maybe you just aren't sure this is for you and don't want to get to invested. Our reservists exist just for that, low commitment, same fun.

Open to all experience levels.

New to Arma 3 or milsim in general. That's completely fine. We love teaching you everything you'd need to know. You won't be turned away!
